How do I get on WiFi?
To access the wireless network in the meeting space, select the ABMSConf2024 network, then enter the following sponsored password: alpinesolutions4u. If you are having issues connecting to the WiFi, the Conference Concierge will be able to assist.

Will the sessions be recorded?
Sessions will not be recorded. Presentation slides that we have permission to share will be available the day the session is held.

Can I change my selection of breakout sessions onsite?
You may attend any session without changing your selection. For your convenience, if you star any session in the mobile app, that session will appear in your dashboard as a selected session.

When is the Poster Session and Exhibitor Reception?
Sponsored by AMA Ed Hub, this live, in-person event will take place on Tuesday, September 24 from 4:00 to 6:30 pm in the International Ballroom and Foyer area. The Poster session will officially open at 5:00 pm in the International Ballroom.

Where will Conference meals be served?
Meals will be served in the Imperial Ballroom on Level B2, with these exceptions: a buffet will be available outside the Gold Room for those who signed up for the First-Time Attendee Breakfast on Tuesday; lunch will be served in the Gold Room during the Sponsor Spotlight on Tuesday and the Exhibitor Showcase on Wednesday.

What is the suggested dress code for the Conference?
We want our attendees to be comfortable during their time at the Conference, so we recommend business casual attire and comfortable shoes. You may want a light sweater if the meeting rooms are chilly.

VOLUNTEERING

I am a volunteer or am interested in assisting. Where do I go?
If you've registered to volunteer or are interested in offering your assistance, please visit the Volunteer Office on Level B2. Alternatively, you can stop by the Registration Desk on Level 2, where staff can guide you to the Volunteer Office. Once there, you’ll receive information about your assignment. Keep an eye out for an email reminder with your volunteer schedule for the Conference. For any questions regarding volunteering, please reach out to Rachel Knapp at 603-494-1337.

PRESENTER FAQs

I am a session presenter. Who do I give my presentation to?
If you haven't already uploaded your presentation to the Presenter Portal, please visit the Presenter Registration room, located on Level 2 near the Conference Concierge, where you also pick up your registration badge. The Presenter Management Team will assist you.

How will my presentation be posted for sharing?
Presentations are available for viewing on the event website and in the app.

When is the Poster Session set-up?
Presenters will mount their posters on Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the International Ballroom on Level 2.

Can I leave my poster at the registration desk?
Due to space limitations, the registration desk cannot hold your poster. Please keep your poster in your room or at the hotel main desk until set-up time.

How can I ship my poster back to my home office?
To ship your poster back, please work directly with the FedEx Office Business Center. ABMS is not responsible for posters after the Poster Session has concluded. Except for posters that are selected for recognition, any poster left up after 7:00 pm will be disposed of.

HOTEL and AIRPORT FAQs

What is the hotel address?
The Conference is at the Fairmont Chicago, Millenium Park, 200 North Columbus Drive, Chicago.

Is there complimentary shuttle bus service between the hotel and airports?
There is no shuttle service from the airports to or from the Fairmont Chicago, Millenium Park.

Can I leave my bags with the Conference Concierge once I have checked out of my room?
The hotel will gladly keep your bags at the bell stand after check-out. Due to fire code regulations, the Conference Concierge is not allowed to hold bags, nor are you permitted to store luggage in any of the meeting rooms.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in at the Fairmont Chicago, Millenium Park is 4:00 pm. Check-out is at noon.

Can I get a late check-out?
Please see the hotel front desk to arrange late check-out.

Is there a fitness center at the Fairmont Chicago, Millenium Park?
Yes. The Fitness Center is located on Ballroom Level 1 (B1) and is open 24 hours a day via keycard access for guests of the Fairmont Chicago.

Is there parking at the Fairmont Chicago, Millenium Park?
Valet Parking is available for overnight guests for $81.

ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS

Who do I speak with about my special dietary needs that I indicated during the registration process?
Best efforts have been made to accommodate special dietary needs. Buffets are labeled to help you identify foods that are nut-free or gluten-free, contain dairy, etc. If you have a specific question, please ask for Susan Filz at the Registration Desk and she will be able to assist you.

Do you recycle the name badges?
A basket for recycling will be available near the Conference Concierge on Thursday. If you are leaving before Thursday, please return your name badge to the Conference Concierge desk. If you choose to recycle your own badge, please remove any ribbons and then put the badge and lanyard in any recycling bin.

Does ABMS Conference 2024 offer CME credit?
CME credit is not awarded for attending ABMS Conference 2024. The planning committee will continue to assess the opportunity to award CME credit based upon the number of physician attendees.

Where can I find a list of Conference attendees?
To respect the privacy of attendees, ABMS does not provide an attendee list to other attendees. We encourage you to update your profile in the mobile app and make it visible to other Conference attendees for networking purposes.

Are guests permitted at meals, receptions, and sessions?
Only registered meeting attendees are permitted to participate in ABMS Conference meals, receptions, and sessions. For guest fees, please contact Jill Bokalders at jbokalders@abms.org or (312) 436-2625.
